Lactol is the "gold standard" when it comes to hand-rearing. Consistency is everything — always use a proper feeding bottle and make sure the milk is served at body temperature (about 38°C). We recommend mixing only what you need for each feed to keep it fresh, though you can keep a pre-mixed batch in the fridge for 24 hours if you're doing middle-of-the-night feeds. For weaning kittens, try mixing a little Lactol with some kitten mousse to create a "porridge"; it makes the transition to solid food much smoother.
