The rock stays solid, but the beneficial minerals slowly leach into the water as your dog drinks. We recommend giving the rock a quick rinse before you pop it in. It’s a bit of an "old school" secret that many of our regular breeders swear by to keep their dogs from getting that "summer itch." Just remember to change the water daily as usual, but you can leave the same piece of sulphur in the bowl for about a month before replacing it with a fresh bit.
