To make it easier, we recommend having everything ready before you start—warm water, a towel, and the shampoo. Start by wetting the coat thoroughly, then apply the shampoo and massage it in well, especially around the neck and the base of the tail where fleas love to hide. Leave the lather on for about 2 minutes to let the natural pyrethrum do its work before rinsing thoroughly. Crucial Tip: A flea shampoo only kills the fleas on the cat at that moment. Because 95% of a flea infestation lives in the carpets and bedding, you must use a household flea spray like Johnson’s 4fleas or a similar room treatment to stop the cycle for good!
