Pittacus High Energy Pellet Food is expertly formulated for parrots from genera such as Psittacus, Ara, and Poicephalus, which naturally consume seeds from oil-rich plants. Designed for non-reproductive periods, this diet meets all essential nutritional requirements, making it suitable as the parrot's sole food source. To enrich dietary variety, fruits and vegetables can be added, provided the pellet remains at least 70% of the diet by weight. Daily intake should be between 5% and 12% of body weight, with medium-sized species like African Grey parrots typically consuming 25–45 grams per day.
